Huay Yai can be geographically categorized as an area in East Pattaya, however, Huay Yai is a unique neighborhood different from the rest of the East Pattaya region.
During the past decade, Huay Yai has grown into a more modern neighborhood A far cry from what other regions south of Jomtien look like today. It has a number of beautiful and well-organized villages making it attractive to the working class as well as retirees who want to hide from the hustle and bustle of downtown Pattaya.

Night in this neighborhood is usually calm and quiet, however, fun activities are not too far away though, a short ride, and you will find yourself in Central Pattaya where you can enjoy the amazing nightlife.
Geographically, the area is located very close to East Pattaya. There are public transport routes through this neighborhood, you can opt for other options like taxis, motorbikes, or the exclusive air-conditioned metered taxis.
Huay Yai has excellent infrastructure; here’s where you will find the state of the art buildings. The area houses some of the best restaurants, cafés, gyms, massage parlors, and numerous entertainment and recreational centers. You may not find big shopping centers here, but they are only a taxi away.
Huay Yai is a hotspot for the rich and famous Thais. Most of them live in Bangkok but frequent Pattaya every weekend; most resorts and entertainment spots will likely be empty during weekdays.
Huay Yai is a perfect choice for residential homes; tourists will also find the neighborhood interesting. As a tourist, you can purchase a small condo; this can also serve as an investment for subsequent renting on a short-term lease. Leasing large apartments are very expensive, except if you want to invest in the long-term corporate rental market.
Places to Visit in Huay Yai
This small waterfall that flows alongtwo2 large rocks is a tourist attraction under the care of Thap Lan National Park. The temple complex covers nearly 30,000 square meters (18 heavens), and about 50 monks live in the complex.
Apart from the beautiful and shiny new structure, the main tourist attraction of Wat Huay Yai is the attractively decorated mummy body of Guru Kaan or Phra Khru Pattarakitwiboon, a famous eastern monk former abbot of Huay Yai Wat.

Baan Na Garden Restaurant and Bar
Originally opened at its current location in 2012, it has its roots further than the famous and popular Khun John Restaurant on Mapprachan Lake, Pattaya, with chefs, waiters, and guides. Moved to Huay Yai Site in 2013, its current location is Baanna Restaurant, which in 2014 was situated in its current location in a beautifully landscaped garden. In early 2016, a restaurant bar was added and opened, changing its name to Baan Na Garden Restaurant & Bar. That’s when he changed his spell to good food and really cold beer. Something that was right then as it is today.
They now serve authentic Thai cuisine and seafood. This includes harvesting oysters from our farm in Bang Saen. We believe that serving Great Thia Food as well as Great International or Western Food is possible. International dishes include unrivaled fish and chips prepared with fresh sea bass and our tartar sauce, the best beef burger in Asia, delicious ribs with their own Cajun marinade and dipping sauce, Australian fillet steak with grass (never frozen), and plenty of it.
Set in bright green gardens, the bar plays relaxing and fun music, including live music nights on Mondays with entertainment in Sydney or Gypsy Lou.
